TRYSL TECH’s SRSI intern Faisal Al-Sayyari, the Saudi Arabian Student Selected to Represent the Kingdom in a Prestigious International Science Competition.
Faisal Al-Sayyari, a talented high school student from Saudi Arabia, has been chosen to represent the Kingdom in the renowned International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2024. This esteemed competition attracts exceptional young scientific minds from across the globe and provides them with a platform to showcase their groundbreaking research projects.
Al-Sayyari earned this remarkable opportunity after an impressive journey of scientific accomplishments. In the summer, he participated in the highly esteemed SRSI program at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology), and Under the mentorship of Prof. Talal Al-Attar, Al-Sayyari worked closely with Dr. Bijo Joseph from TRYSL Tech. The program aims to nurture young talent and foster innovation in the fields of science and engineering.
Following his successful participation in the SRSI program, Faisal Al-Sayyari then went on to participate in the Ibdaa Science and Engineering Fair, an event organized by Mawhiba, the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. He showcased his exceptional research project, which caught the attention of the judges and earned him the 6th place grand award.
The achievement didn’t end there for Faisal. He was subsequently invited to attend a qualifying workshop, where his skills and potential were further evaluated. The outcome of this rigorous assessment was the selection of Faisal as one of the 35 students chosen to represent Saudi Arabia on the international stage at Regeneron ISEF 2024.
The International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is renowned for being one of the most prestigious science competitions in the world. It gathers the brightest young minds from various countries, providing them with a unique opportunity to present their cutting-edge research projects and engage in intellectual exchange. This year, the event will take place in Los Angeles, USA, from May 11 to 17.
Mawhiba program, the driving force behind the Ibdaa competition, plays a crucial role in managing the Saudi ISEF team. Through their continuous efforts, Mawhiba not only identifies and nurtures gifted students but also ensures that they have the support and resources necessary to excel on the global stage.
