SRSI student Mohamed Albarakat won the top scientific paper award for his research and development on the subject of “Sensing the Spectrum using SDR Techniques”. Under the mentorship of Prof. Talal Al-Attar, Albarakat worked closely with two assistant mentors from TRYSL Tech, Mohamed Abdelshakour, and Fahad Alturkistani to develop a spectrum sensing technique utilizing the LimeSDR board features and capabilities. The research has been conducted between the KAUST ECE100 lab and TRYSL TECH labs.
